Stage 11: Dunhuang – Jiayuguan
Road connection: 44.28 km – Special stage: 220.96 km – Road connection: 344.42 km – Total: 525.24 km
This morning, the Silk Way Rally competitors installed at the Dunhuang’s bivouac woke up to a violent wind that became a sandstorm as time went by. The helicopters have been blocked at the ground and visibility has been reduced to one meter at the passage control. For these reason, the race direction has cancelled today’s timed section between Dunhuang – Jianyuguan.
