SS 4B – 26,97 km road section – 263,51 km SS
Yesterday, Amos and Delaunay signed a very nice time in the special stage on the road to the bivouac of the marathon stage, a stage without the assistances nor the teams managers. “This stage went very well for us,” comments Sébastien Delaunay. We left motivated and Eugenio wanted to drive fast. At first, it was technical and brittle tracks with large stones. The Buggy 2WD, very well suspended, behaved great. Then we crossed Lake Iriki and there was more navigation, from track to track. We passed Prokop and then crossed 35 km of dunes without any problems.
The last part consisted of fast tracks and navigation. We ranked 4th, behind Al Attyah, Loeb and Sainz, hard to do better!
Today Eugenio was sick. So we drove slowly to preserve the Buggy 2WD and played the good Samaritans and finished 34th. ”
Tomorrow, the competitors will race their last kilometers in the Moroccan desert before crossing the checkered flag.
