Thursday and Friday, March 30 and 31: Technical and administrative scrutineering – Yas Marina Circuit
The 2WD Buggy now rest at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, where technical and administrative scrutineering were completed prior to this new adventure.
It’s been more than 7 month since the last participation of Eugenio Amos in the Baja Poland. “I’ve never been out of the races for so long, it is frustrating… But, I arrived this morning to Abu Dhabi and feel so happy to get together with the friend and at the desert. Most of all, I am happy to escape from the ordinary life. Cross country rally races are my passion and a way to get out! “ Says the Italian with a smile.
Technical scrutineerings are today, Super Special tomorrow and Sunday, and competitors will then go to the Liwa Desert. “I can’t wait to discover the qualities of the 2WD buggy in the sand, but I have no huge ambitions this time, except for finishing the race and have a great time! Since this will be my only race this year and I am not taking part in the World Cup, I have no pressure.”
Next to him, his navigator Rafael Tornabell is excited to find a real racing machine. “Eugenio will take the rhythm of the race and of the 2WD. When we were in Poland, we were 6th among great competitors. Here at the ADDC, the terrain, the big spaces and the dunes are a fit for the 2WD buggy, and I think we will have a blast!” says the Spaniard.
